Dr Yvette Martyn MBChB BA(Hons) MRCP DOccMed

Since graduating from Leicester Medical School in 2011 Dr Yvette Martyn, also known as Dr Sunshine has developed her skills as a medical practitioner. Working across numerous specialties within the NHS including: Renal Medicine, Oncology, Haematology, Intensive Care, Respiratory, Endocrinology, Psychiatry, Elderly Medicine and Surgery.
For the last five years she has been working for commercial organisations. She is a Specialist Registrar in Occupational Medicine based across the East Midlands. She holds a Diploma in Occupational Medicine and is an Assistant Editor for Occupational Medicine Journal. She is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and enjoys practising clinically by working within the NHS in Acute Medicine.
She started her television career in 2010 when she was a contestant on the final Channel 4 series of Big Brother. And has knowledge and experience of the media, holding a First Class Honours degree in Medical Journalism from the University of Westminster.
Her experience in print and online journalism is vast with numerous articles published within both medical and non-medical publications including: Pulse, JuniorDr magazine, Daily Mail, Star Magazine and Fashion Insider. She held the position of Features Editor for JuniorDr magazine. She often writes for the Society of Occupational Medicine and Occupational Medicine Journal.
She has a personal interest in diet and lifestyle medicine and advocates plant based diets.
